Walnut Creek, CA – October 26, 2007 SCARF announced today that is has officially opened it’s doors as a non-profit foundation in the effort in educating the awareness of melanoma. SCARF has changed their domain from http://www.sherrifoundation.com to http://www.scarfusa.org Receiving their Federal Tax ID number earlier this summer allowed the Board of Directors to put focus on redesign of the website that now includes opportunities for individuals and corporations to make donations in a variety of ways. Individuals & Corporate donors can dedicate their contribution in memory of someone or simply have their name on a ‘Dedication Wall’. “These are exciting times and the entire staff is excited to see the hard work coming together”, states founder and CEO, Jim Tennant. “We hope to gain momentum this year with a winter event and focus our efforts on recruitment and planning for 2008”.More additions to the website are planned, including more merchandise, partners andsponsors as the word about SCARF grows in the community.
