Help raise funds to help spread the word about “melanoma” and also to support an MDMC alum, Trisha Corey. Trisha and her mother, Diane Cushings are co-owners of this wonderful franchise.
About Winestyles (www.winestyles.net)
With 150 locations, WineStyles is a national wine boutique simplifying the wine shopping experience by catering to the wine drinker who is looking for a simple and easy way to find the perfect bottle.
Designed like an old-world wine cellar, WineStyles is organized by eight different style categories instead of varietal or region. Demystifying the selection of the right bottle of wine, these taste profiles include Crisp, Silky, Rich and Bubbly for whites and Fruity, Mellow, Bold and Nectar for reds.
In addition, each bottle is accompanied by a description listing the wine's characteristics, flavors and suggested food pairings. Each WineStyles carries wines ranging from unique labels, many exclusive to WineStyles, to hard-to-find wines from small and large vineyards from around the world. WineStyles features up to 150 revolving world-class wines and most are priced between $10 and $25 per bottle.
In addition to wine, WineStyles offers a variety of gifts and wine accessories including customizabile gift baskets, monthly wine clubs, a frequent buyer program and private event opportunities. By offering weekly wine tastings and a gathering place for friends, WineStyles quickly becomes an integral part of the local community.
Founded in 2002, WineStyles was inspired by a backyard barbeque with friends. Overwhelmed by the number of bottles, guests blind tasted all the wines and the winners were not necessarily the most expensive or best marketed, but the ones that simply tasted the best. As a result, the idea for WineStyles was born to make it easier for consumers to buy and understand wine.

Golf Tournament
An Annual local Golf Tournament to be scheduled at Boundary Oaks for the Spring timeframe each year.
Set against the foothills of Mt. Diablo, Boundary Oak Golf Course is one of the most beautiful spots in San Francisco's East Bay as well as one of the top rated public golf courses in California. This 18-hole facility features a full pro shop, driving range, restaurant, 3 practice greens and plenty of parking. Hosting over 10,000 tournament rounds and almost 65,000 total rounds of golf each year, it is one of the best-known courses in Northern California.
Annual Dinner & Silent Auction
In 2006, neighbors of Sherri planned and coordinated a Dinner Auction at The Civic Arts on Ygnacio Valley Road in Walnut Creek. The event was an incredible success raising funds for the family of Sherri during a time where Jim was unemployed taking care of Sherri and Justin full-time. This event was so successful, it is an event that the board has agreed would be a great forum to update the community on SCARF and spread the news on it’s growth and future plans.
Tea Party Gathering
One of Sherri’s favorite activities was to join her friends at a variety of Tea locations for a 'Cuppa’. Whether it was in San Francisco at the Fairmont Hotel, or a local place near home, she would try to have a monthly outing with friends.
Look for dates and locations where you and your friends and family members can gather to celebrate Sherri Tennants zest for tea!
